I can come up with a solution, we can figure it out somehow, some way if youve got the right people around you to do it. We pivoted and our kids were able to finish high school in New York and we made it work and now weve been Wisconsin residents from New York City, which is a whole other interesting transition. Is this coming? This is learning on the job, right? John: In terms of watching the young generation now come up, has NIL and the advent of NIL do you believe thats going to have a positive or negative effect as you continue to recruit players in the future? Peter is a serious businessman and a hilarious friend. It's truly like a restart. Peter: I think when the opportunity came and we thought it was such a good idea, we were aiming an incredible. Thats an interesting question. I think probably one of the last public-private partnerships that thatll happen, when Troy brought together the city, the county and the state to put together a partnership for a new arena in downtown Milwaukee. Right? "I got to tell you the enthusiasm Peter has brought to the city has been brought right back. Peter Feigin: And for a year of that, I kind of dropped everything and just kind of toured the country with an organized schedule, kind of understood the revenue part of it, kind of do. This is COVID, how do we do it? My mother was one of the preeminent ad executives from Grey Advertising for 40 years. Peter Feigin: I think building the relationship with Mark, probably through looking at other purchase opportunities and kind of talking through it. And you do it, for us, kind of my job was to be that rock and support and think about if you told me that 50% of my time would be spent on making sure everybody is okay. I volunteered/got myself pushed into the reset committee of the bubble committee on the NBA to do something that's never been done before. I also listen, I thought, and my parents thought both my brother and I were as you can imagine before ADD was actually diagnosed, Peter: for kids our age and stuff, because its still be on impulsive, relentless, like, [inaudible]. And we sat down as organization with the players, with the owners, with the executives and just said like, "Oh, we're going to double down." Peter Feigin: I'm not a good example of life balance, because I kind of blend them in such a big way that my kids, my brothers, my mother, my wife, they're all a part of it. Were going to pay you, but hey, youre going to work. And remember, betting on yourself is the secret to your success. And the task at hand here is like the more successful we are on the court, the more successful we are on the business, the more opportunity we will have to do other things. By the way, part of the culture here and part of the DNA is, before you come in and before you, youve got to want to be involved. Talk about it, you transition now from the Knicks and your consulting gig to the president of the Bucks. Peter: professionalized on a revenue basis, so yeah. And we'll get to social injustice in a bit. And there is no magic wand that kind of changes this in six months. My wife is like, What are you doing? I dont know what Im doing!. And then I think on a parallel track, youre really building an infrastructure. So, people talk about business, it wasn't a slow beat. Peter Feigin: Khris Middleton, as you can imagine, nobody understands that players have been having to get COVID tested twice a day and you got to come into our training center and we have parking spaces. And I knew who Arthur Ashe was, but I wasn't a big tennis guy and my job was basically being Arthur Ashe's right hand person through. Peter: its not the biggest, but it just talks about how special when you talk about in a small market, and we try to coalesce with the Brewers and the Packers as much as we can to be like the strength of these three pro teams and their players and their coaches and our coaches and GM spend a lot of time with the coaches and GMs at the Packers, which is just great.
